Go To Vera Lynn

If you have a problem and ask anyone who to go to, they’ll lead you to Vera Lynn. She’ll help you with your relationship problems. Whether you and your significant other are in a fight or you just want to change something, but don’t know what to do exactly. She’ll help you with homework even if it’s math. She’ll listen if you just need to talk or get something off of your chest. You can tell Vera Lynn all of your secrets and she won’t tell anyone a word you say. There’s hardly anyone she could tell anyway. Vera Lynn is one of the people who will drop everything and help you with no questions asked. She’ll be the person on the other end of the phone at 3am when you just need to talk. She never asks for anything in return.
What people don’t know about Vera Lynn is that she wishes there was someone there for her. She wishes there was someone there for her to tell all of her secrets to. She helps all of these people, and she’s happy too, but no one is ever there for her. She has troubles too. Vera Lynn focuses on helping other so much that she never focuses on helping herself. She bottles everything up. Soon the small bottle will burst like a plastic water bottle being thrown into a fire. Vera Lynn and her friends joke about how she should start charging people candy for her services. She plans to become a therapist or psychologist someday, but she may have to get her own first.
This vignette is about me and how I’m always there to help someone, but they never seem to return the favor.
